Directory of Grapes

With out grapes there would be no wine, at least no wine as we know it.  I  have been entertained by the occasional bottle of blackberry wine and some Meads (wines made from honey or honey and fruit) but only the grape produces consistent wine that lends itself well to commercialization.  Here we have tried to break down and explain that major well known grapes and some lesser known ones as well.  There are more types of grapes then most people realize so we will continue to add to this resource over time.  If you have a varietal you would like us to add just let us know.
